PpWN, Our Group-Written Novel, update as of November 2020

PpWN is being published in weekly installments on its official fan site, starting in November 2020. You can read it here for free.

The project began early in 2016. Six of us got together and began what would be a real adventure in communal writing.

PpWN is fiction, a historical fantasy novel of large scope, like a saga. It's about a chess set named RICHESSE, which was created for the purpose of bringing peace to the planet, one conflict at a time. It was given magical powers by a MAGE, and then set off on its mission. In the course of the book, RICHESSE undergoes internal as well as external challenges that hamper its work.

Each writer invented his and her own characters and set them in various time periods from ancient civilization, to Persia, to medieval France, to England, and to Medina, NY (where most of the plot takes place). It reaches further via time travel to Nazi Germany and beyond. To aid in moving the plot forward, the plot is divided into a prologue, 5 main sections called "books" and an epilogue.

If you're wondering whether PpWN is a typo, no, it isn't. It's a long story on how that came to be, and if interested, you can read all about it on our  PpWN Official Fan Site.

The fan site, which is continually being developed, contains prequels to the novel, information about our collective endeavor, author bios and much more. We hope you will visit, read, and leave comments.

News from Whitesboro Writers Group

Our previously in-person public writing group has just completed two years of online activity. We have found these monthly flash-fiction exercises to be enjoyable, and we invite you to view our creative efforts (and the feedback we offer one another) here:  Whitesboro Online Writers.  (If you're looking for a writing group, consider joining in the fun!)

There is also another group effort afoot. Six members of Whitesboro Writers (including one out-of-state author) under the pen name J. Adoube  have co-written a full-length novel called PpWN (no, that's not a typo, and yes, it is pronounced "pawn") from January 2016 - November 2019. This was, for the most part, a project that was conducted through email and a private Facebook group. After many revisions, we published the e-book in November 2019. You can still purchase it through Amazon for the low price of 2.99 until the end of November, 2020.

  https://www.amazon.com/PpWN-J-Adoube-ebook/dp/B081VLD4WH/ref=sr_1_1?Adv-Srch-Books-Submit.x=20&Adv-Srch-Books-Submit.y=8&keywords=PpWN&qid=1574605960&s=books&sr=1-1&unfiltered=1

And what about after that date?

We have been writing numerous prequels, spin-offs and sequels since publication, and have decided that instead of publishing all of these as e-books, we are now in the process of moving the whole project, including the entire novel, into its own, dedicated fan site.

Good news - you will soon be able to read the PpWN novel and all of its other related stories, FREE, right here: PpWN Official Fan Site

We plan to serialize the book in weekly increments, but  you can start now with one of the prequels. It's a novelette entitled The Gambler's Tale, which tells the story of PpWN's narrator before the book begins.

If you have any questions about the project, the writers, the theme, and so on, or if you'd like to contact us for more information, please visit us at PpWN Adventures!

Public comments and questions are welcome on most of the posts there. Thank you in advance for reading our co-written novel. We hope you enjoy the PpWN journey as much as we did.

Introducing Mahlon Palmer, Local Author

While Miriam and I were waiting for the rest of the Monday Night Writers to show up for the December session, we decided to have a look around the indoor Farmers Market. It's held in the library's community room every first and third Monday from November through April. In one corner of the room stood a gentleman surrounded by a display featuring his book, entitled Destiny, published in April 2016.

We struck up a conversation with the amiable Mr. Palmer, who was eager to share some information with us about his self-publishing experience. His book underwent rigorous vetting from Authorhouse Publishers before they decided to handle the process for him.

Mr. Palmer was emphatic about heeding and adhering to the legal requirements for the contents of his book, including the photos and even the cover art depicted here. Permissions had to be requested and submitted in writing before they were authorized for inclusion - I assume from an abundance of caution. No writer wants legal hassles to interfere with the success of his or her book - we can certainly relate to that!

We didn't get to hear the rest of the story because our meeting was about to begin, but I thought I'd post the information on our blog and anyone who is interested in doing some self-publishing (with the aid of a publishing company such as Authorhouse) is welcome to investigate on their own.

According to the brochure we scooped up before we left, Destiny is geared to young people who are looking for a way to succeed in life, despite daunting odds. The book is available in hard and soft cover, as well as in e-book format from Barnes and Noble and Amazon. You can find out more here:
Destiny, by Mahlon Palmer

Even better, drop by the Farmers Market next month and chat with Mr. Palmer yourself...and tell him Whitesboro Writers sent you.

---

Note: I don't know whether showing a photo of the cover is a breach of contract - since it shows up on the web for sale, and I have given credit to the artist, author and publisher, and we're not being paid to promote this - I hope it's ok! As an extra layer of protection, I've modified the cover so it's not exact. --CJ

Our Latest E-Book is Now Available!

Our latest e-book is now available for purchase from Amazon Kindle. The price is $2.99. Any earnings from the sale of this book will be shared by the 13 authors and  the Dunham Public Library.

The book's theme is one of death, but it's about Death as viewed from a humorous perspective as well as from one of compassion or sadness. The variety of spins our writers took on this most challenging topic is quite remarkable.

Featured writers include locals Jerry Finkelstein,  Ginny Enea, HT Longale, Miriam Waters, and CJ Alexander. Also, a newcomer to our area who contributed to this book is Terry Rainey, who hails from Virginia.

These national and international writers complete the roster of fine writers represented in the book: Perry McDaid of Ireland, John Mannone of Tennessee, Sue Babcock of New Mexico, Lester Weil of Arizona, Lisa Scuderi-Burkimsher of Long Island, Alyce Campbell of Virginia and Michael W. Cho, of Tempe, AZ, who won a prime spot in the book as contest winner at Silver Pen Writers, a well respected non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the skills of aspiring writers.

We hope you will enjoy reading this, our fourth publication, and that you will consider gifting someone with a copy this holiday season.

Book Review – Dark Chocolate, A Mother’s Puzzle - by Monica Reid

Chances are you know someone who suffers from the condition known as AUTISM. If that person is a family member living in your own household – your sibling or your child – you will readily relate to the challenges Monica Reid’s family encountered as told in this charmingly crafted little book. Everyone else will get their eyes opened. Wide.

This first-time mother’s struggles were due not only to the conflicting emotions she experienced when, despite doing everything possible to protect her child in utero, her son Bryson was diagnosed with autism. She had given up everything considered detrimental to optimal fetal development, most especially her Lord-of-the-Rings epic-sized obsession: “Chocolate! I needs it… worse than Gollum needed his Precious… more than Menelaus needed Helen of Troy… more than the moon needs the Earth or Europa needs Jupiter…”

To sacrifice chocolate, that “warm, buttery, velvety, unctuous delight,” all for naught.  Bryson’s demeanor grew more worrisome as time progressed - it wasn’t all snuggles and sweetness in the Reid household. Her son behaved, well, a bit differently than expected and later, destructively. As she dealt with the special needs of her son, Monica took solace in that deep dark confection only a bona-fide chocoholic can understand.

Ironically she notes: “I didn’t do anything (while pregnant) that left me racked with guilt over Bryson’s diagnosis”. But during her second and third pregnancies, she - shall we say – ramped down the vigilance (and it turns out that was a good strategy.) Chocolate was on hand in times of need, always and any color of chocolate until…..well, you’ll just have to read the book to find out what happened to all that chocolate, and to Bryson.

Dark Chocolate: A Mother’s Puzzle is a heroine’s journey of nine years and counting through the labyrinths of addiction and tough love. It’s told in honest and soulful prose dipped in dark humor, delivered to the reader to savor in small bites.

 Precious…oh yes.

Non-fiction: Special needs, parenting, humor.  38 pages, including color photographs.  $2.99
(Available through Amazon for Kindle Reader. Free reader downloads are available on the website.)

WINTER WRITES: Our Second E-book Has Been Published!

And then there were two: WINTER WRITES - Poems, Stories & Sagas, is now live and available on Amazon as of January 16, 2016. It is reasonably priced at $4.99 and may be downloaded on various devices. Amazon provides free e-reader software for those who don’t have a Kindle.

For the past two and a half months, editor CJ Alexander received and vetted submissions on the winter theme from England, Ireland, Poland and India, as well as from the Mohawk Valley and several US states.

We were fortunate to find a talented artist who agreed to design this unique cover for us. Daniel Fuller also made his writing debut in our book.

The original poems and stories of twenty five authors, many of whom are local residents, made it into this anthology. We’re very proud of everyone’s creative efforts and we sincerely hope that you will show your support for their hard work – yes, writing is work – by purchasing a copy.

There is something for everyone in this anthology: humor, satire, romance, drama, nature, fantasy and even some science fiction. The story or poem length ranges from 50 to 500 words per piece. We also featured several “sagas” of up to 2,500 words, a respectable short story length for those writers who had a longer winter yarn to spin. A list of the book’s authors and their bios can be found at the end of this post.

We encourage everyone to make comments below, on our Facebook page, and especially on the Amazon website here:  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01APYY9U2?keywords=winter%20writes&qid=1452985219&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3

Our first book, Halloween Musings & Amusings, was published on October 28, 2015, and we have plans for a third book.

AUTHOR BIOS
(Names with a * are current or former local writing group members)

* CJ Alexander’s writing career began the day she first laid crayon to paper. She is the blog designer, virtual host and editor of the Whitesboro Writers Group, which recently published its first e-book anthology, Halloween Musings & Amusings. Several of her short stories have appeared in Anthologies published by Horrified Press and others have appeared on Flash Fiction Press. An avid reader, she resides in Whitesboro, New York.

Dr. Sue Babcock spent years and years as an engineer, living like a troll in a dark hole under a rock in the broad expanse of the Rio Grande valley. For decades she'd peer out at the gaudy, dazzling world around her, then scurry back into her comfortable darkness where she researched, constructed, supervised and wrote (dry, technical) reports. One day a dragon visited her valley, and its fiery breath and incendiary heat shattered Sue's protective rock. She closed her eyes for a heartbeat before trying to climb on that dragon's back. Someday she will succeed. She's the publisher for Liquid Imagination and Youth Imagination, and is on the Board of Directors of the Silver Pen Writers Association. Mostly retired, she delights in writing short stories, especially stories of human failings, and when she remembers to submit, she even occasionally gets published.

Liz Brigham was born and raised in Whitesboro. From a young age she began writing to escape from any unfavored events in her life. Her writing soon grew from a simple get-away to a passion. She is now 20 years old with an Associates in Graphic Communications from MVCC and working on her Bachelor's in Media Communications at University of Albany. She still reads and writes in her spare time. You can find more of her work at http://lizrbrigham.wix.com/coffeechat.

Dorothy Davies is a writer, editor and medium from the Isle of Wight, off the south coast of England. There she writes her strange stories and books and edits even stranger anthologies of dark tales by talented authors. She runs The Old Curiosity Shop, a store crammed with curios and items, some of which are almost as strange as she is. She is a member of the HWA. Her book The Skullface Chronicles is set on the island – no one has yet noticed the zombie stomping around and killing people. Perhaps they think that it’s normal behaviour for an islander…

* P. T. DeBlois is a frequent contributor to and member of the Whitesboro Writers Group. He enjoys history, writing, and spending time with friends and family. He is also an avid reader and collects books. He resides in New Hartford, New York.

Brianne DiPrima - Born and raised in Central New York I have always had an interest in writing. I currently live in Houston where I moved with my husband to earn my Veterinarian Technician license and for my husband to finish his residency. We hope to move back to Central New York mid 2016.

Ginny Enea - A life-long love of books gave me the inspiration to write.

Jules Enea is a writer in the genres of Horror and Fantasy. Some of his stories appear in a Halloween Anthology on Amazon, and on Flash Fiction Press.

Daniel Fuller is a lifelong resident of Canton Illinois where he lives with his wife and two sons. He has been a jeweler for thirty years and is the owner of Fuller's Jewelry, a Victorian jewelry store that has operated since 1892. Besides being a full time dad and goldsmith, his interests include infrared and regular photography, manga and anime based graphics and artwork, online video gaming, mountain biking, woodworking, and gardening. He often uses the name Hari Seldan for his artwork, and is known as "Honey Badger" among his friends. He operates the art website Obsidianrainbow.com.

Jessi Gael is an unabashed geek girl who can often be found immersed in imaginary worlds.  She lives with her family in Central New York and thinks that while the snow is pretty it’s just too darn cold. When not busy with real life, reading, or writing she has can most likely be found in a classroom learning, because apparently she likes to punish herself learn all there is to know.

Norbert Gora - 25-year-old poet and writer from Poland. Many of his horror, SF and romance short stories have been published in his home country. He is also author of many poems in English-language poetry anthologies around the world.

Tialila Kikon – I am from a beautiful hill state in North East India, Nagaland. I'm happy to mention that Nagaland is blessed bountifully by nature. I teach literature in a college. Life, Love and Nature inspire me. I have written around 130 tankas so far and awaiting publication. I have a collection of around 100 free verse poems scribbled over the years. I believe anything that touches the soul is beautiful. In this world torn apart by hatred and greed, the Arts in all its different forms can definitely built rainbow bridges, touch lives and give hope to humanity.

* Brian Klocek  – Mohawk Valley native son now on assignment in El Paso, Texas. Known for his social commentary (self-published on Soundcloud and Amazon), he is one of the partners in a fan-fiction blog Partners in Jest and a frequent contributor to the Whitesboro Writers Group.

Deborah LeFalle - is an active retiree hailing from San Jose, California. She enjoys writing, supporting the arts, and spending time outdoors communing with nature. Poetry is the genre of writing she is drawn to most, with ideas for her poems often stemming from personal experiences. Living a simple, gratitude-filled life sustains and inspires her daily.

* Sue Lemery – “Younger days I loved to walk and hike in the woods. The quiet of the forest, the evergreens, the effort of long hikes - always left me joyful.  In recent years, have tried writing about those peak experiences.  I still search for words to portray the amazing experiences of simple forest walks.  Several recent poems, thematically, have concerned topics such as world peace and our refugee situation.  Enjoy writing poems and with retirement getting closer, hope to have time to write even more.”

* H.T. Longale - After having been graduated from the Utica School of Commerce in 1997, H.T. Longale worked a wide variety of jobs. Her writing for leisure has been ongoing for years, and recently evolved into a determined passion. Currently she is finishing the first novel of a set entitled, The Foundlings' Eyre Series. She resides in Remsen, New York.

Derryman Perry McDaid is currently fiction editor with Liquid Imagination and on the board of silverpen.org. Widely published, besides his five individual poetry anthologies, his poems, stories, reviews and articles have appeared in diverse and international magazines, anthologies and websites. A prize-winner with short stories, poetry and articles, the Irishman’s work can be found both in hardcopy and online. He lives with his family beneath the mostly misty Donegal Hills, walking back roads where he can inhale the mystic inspiration of long dead bards and druids to concoct the weird, wonderful, and downright disturbing.

* Jeremy Mortis has been writing stories for over twenty years and has been lucky enough to be published in the last five. Blessed by the Fair Folk when he worked with Father Christmas for a year, he now sees all manner of strange and wondrous beings. Now he currently works for the state of New York as a job coach.

* Cheryl Palmer starting writing after she retired.  She enjoys creating snapshots of life in words.  Apart from the fun of choosing just the right words to tell the short tales, she hopes to lead the readers into a shared experience of the “human condition”.  Cheryl harvests moments from her past, and also uses those surrounding her in the present.   In “Colors of Honey”, she used a recent trip and hike in the Adirondacks for inspiration.  In “Pottsville, Pennsylvania”, she combined true events from years ago, the trip through the Pennsylvania town, with fiction. (Both of these stories appeared in the Halloween Musings & Amusings Anthology.)  Cheryl is an original member of the Whitesboro Monday Night Writer’s group.

* Monica Reid began writing early on. She earned her degree in Biology at Oneonta while participating in art, theater, and voice. Dunham Public Library Trustee co-authors new book

Scott Smith is not a member of our writing groups, but he is a long-serving trustee of our host library, so we are pleased to promote his work with all of our readers. - cja

The following appears on the library's website:

Interplay of Cultural Narratives in Martinique: French, African, and Indian Journeys Toward a Pluralistic Society (May 2015, Caribbean Studies Press, Cat #CSP3704, 282 pp, with b & w illustrations, softcover ISBN 978-1-62632-370-4)

Trustee R. Scott Smith has co-authored a book with his wife, Dr. Mahadevi Ramakrishnan, which explores the history of immigration and development of cultural identities on the island of Martinique from 1635 to the present with particular attention to the major cultural groups: African, French and Indian as well as the role of the indigenous Caribs in cultural hybridization. This interdisciplinary study of intertwined adaptive strategies to emigration and resettlement provides insight into the complicated tapestry of contemporary Martinican identity, including Martinique's chosen status as an Overseas Department of France. To help students navigate nearly four hundred years of complex history, the authors provide a glossary and questions for reflection.

Meet Kat Morrisey

Another published author joins our growing group. You can meet her in person at a book signing at the library on May 18 from 5-7 PM, and she may turn up at Monday Writers's group too, on April 27th!

Kat Morrisey is the pen name for an author, lawyer, and college teacher in Upstate New York, whose ‘real’ name is Kristine. (She answers to both, so feel free to use either!) She writes across genres, but writing romance (whether it be paranormal, contemporary, dystopian, sci-fi, or any other sub-genre within romance) is where she feels most at home. In 2013 she decided to finally put herself, and her writing, out for readers to find, and did so by signing her first contract. The upside: she didn’t have to pay a lawyer to negotiate her own contract. The downside: negotiating her own contract was a lot more stressful than negotiating for someone else!

In November 2014 she finally told her friends and family she wrote romance novels, and even told them her pen name. And now? Well now she can’t stop writing, learning, and writing some more; nor does she ever want to.

Kat is a Whitesboro High School graduate. After college at St. Bonaventure University she went on to Syracuse University College of Law.

She has explained how she came to be a published author in a charming article, which we have published here: http://whitesborowriterswhatnot.blogspot.com/2015/04/coming-out-of-writing-closet.html

Book Review: Dark of the Island

The cover says it well: "Two islands, two experiences," both enjoyable and well-written stories, both leaving the reader, at least this reader, with a different feeling at their end.

The first story, Island 6-17, the shorter of the two, is full of Joan's trademark twists and turns. She has created in a relatively brief fictional piece, several viable, believable characters and keeps us in suspense about what will happen to them, I must now say, right past the end.  It seems to me that there is potential for a sequel to this story, perhaps in the form of a spin-off, about what happens to one of the main characters who settles into life on the island. I didn't want to think of that person actually having the fate we are led to anticipate.  The individual does say that he or she is "on a mission" there. I want to know what that is!

The penal colony solution was highly intriguing to me, and while I have read Golding's classic Lord of the Flies, I suspect that Joan is very capable of thinking up several alternate ways to make a great story out of how people relegated to a life sentence on a remote, secluded island would manage their affairs. For one thing, in this story they are adults....and have much more life experience than the boys in Golding's novel...not that they would necessarily come to a better end, of course!  I hope Joan does write another story which will explore those possibilities.

The longer story is Honeymoon Island, so rich in botanical detail, which is essential to the tightly-crafted plot. The book's setting and mood are better developed than the two vacationing couples, who owing to my own flawed point of view, perhaps, seem a bit naive and could perhaps gain a bit more credibility from a few ...let's call them... personality glitches. That said, I did enjoy the casting together of a young and a mature couple, the latter who ended up being as vulnerable as the former despite their longer life experience.

All throughout  this book,  Joan's deft and ample use of foreshadowing prepares the reader for the less than perfect adventure, all the while delaying and getting us to hope that the disaster looming at the book's end, whose nature was not only surprising but also quite ironic, is not really going to happen. The suspense begins right in the first chapter and never quits. Living so far from the tropics, one can easily see how  people would be beguiled by the island's aura of mystery. What's not to like out there in the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean?  Plenty, but you'll have to read the book to find out!

In both stories, Joan's especial talent lies in great dialogue and she also concocts plots that keep the reader wanting more. (Hear that, Joan?) I bet anything she will be happy to provide us with more great reading material...in her short stories, flash fiction, novels and yes, even an occasional poem, and you'll read them, or about them, right here.

Two thumbs up!

Whitesboro - the Mother of Towns

If you  pick up the April 2015 issue of Greater Utica Magazine (I got a free copy at the library)  you will find on its cover a reference to an article which this post is named for.

Who knew? Whitesboro is known as the "mother of towns."

Look familiar?
The article revealed an interesting fact, namely that when Whitestown was first formed in 1788, it spanned west to Lake Erie, south into Pennsylvania, and north to the Canadian border.  That's a lot of real estate. Again, who knew?

Another claim to fame: the ingenius roll top desk was invented and manufactured by the Quigley Furniture Company here in our own back yard.

This information comes from a newly published book that two local women, Judy Harp Mallozzi and Dana Nimey Olney, collaborated on.  It's entitled Images of America: Whitesboro, which details the history of our small village.  Their book is available for purchase at Barnes & Noble in New Hartford, Colonial Pharmacy and the Potting Shed in Whitesboro, and at the Oneida County Historical Society in Utica.

The authors will be present for a book signing at our library on on Tuesday, April 7 from 7 until 8 PM. Barnes and Noble will follow suit on  April 11 from 2 to 4 PM  in Consumer Square.

What a wonderful addition this book would make to your personal library. Why not set aside an hour to meet and thank the authors for their efforts, and for helping to build community spirit. This is yet another reason to be proud to live in the "mother of towns".

Note: We at Whitesboro Writers Group present this information as a free public service as part of our ongoing effort to  promote local writers.

Book Signing - Gears of Brass

Beware a Treasure Darkly…

(Thank you, Amalia Chitulescu, for the stunning cover art.  It goes so well with the story)
Seventeen-year-old Clark Treasure assumes the drink he stole off the captain is absinthe…until the chemicals in the liquid give him the ability to awaken the dead. A great invention for creating perfect soldiers, yes, but Clark wants to live as a miner, not a slave to the army—or the deceased. On the run, Clark turns to his estranged tycoon father for help. The Treasures welcome Clark with open arms, so he jumps at the chance to help them protect their ranch against Senator Horan, a man who hates anyone more powerful than he.

And he is not alone. His new found sister, Amethyst, thinks that's rather dashing, until Horan kidnaps her, and all she gets is a bullet through her heart. When Clark brings her back to life, she realizes he's more than just street-smart - and he's not really a Treasure. Amethyst’s boring summer at home has turned into an adventure on the run, chock full of intrigue, danger, love, and a mysterious boy named Clark.
TREASURE DARKLY, book 1 of the Treasure Chronicles
This young adult fantasy introduces the Wild West to a steampunk world, mixed together with romance and a touch of the paranormal.
Enjoy the following excerpt…
“Looks like he did drink it up.” The general client spoke from the right. “Must’ve interacted with all that bloody hertum. Look at ‘im, he’s bleeding already.”
“What’s it gonna do to him?” the guard from the morning asked.
“Lots of stuff.” The general laughed. “When he touches the dead, he’ll be able to bring them back, and exchange that life for another. Perfect soldier, huh? We only have one vial ready and I was going to give it to a lucky fellow. Guess it will be this boy.”
“Whatcha gonna do with him?” The guard snickered.
“Have to be a test subject,” the general said. “Sure thought it was that Judy who stole my bottle. Pity I killed her. She sure knew how to make my pecker sing.”
Judy.
Clark’s mother.
Clark bolted off the ground and ran. He could hide in the hole under the shed behind the brothel. Mable never found him under there. He might be cursed with raising the dead—he’d already done that to the poor mine worker—but it didn’t mean he’d let them take him for tests.

I love everything that comes with being published – the book signings, the blog interviews, the swag…  I’ve never been so excited about buying a bookmark before.  I also love hearing from the readers of ESCAPE FROM WITCHWOOD HOLLOW, and a few people asked me how Leon got the handgun.  I would hate to disappoint the fans, so I wrote a bonus scene where Leon meets the weapon.  You can access it here: http://www.jordanelizabethmierek.com/novels.html
There’s more than just a bonus scene on the website.  Check out contests, book signings, future books, and feel free to drop me a line.  Your suggestion might be the next bonus scene!  Signed copies of my books are available by request.  They make great holiday gifts.  Yes, I’m winking at you.
Everyone in Arnn – a small farming town with more legends than residents – knows the story of Witchwood Hollow: if you venture into the whispering forest, the witch will trap your soul among the shadowed trees.

After losing her parents in a horrific terrorist attack on the Twin Towers, fifteen-year-old Honoria and her older brother escape New York City to Arnn. In the lure of that perpetual darkness, Honoria finds hope, when she should be afraid.

Perhaps the witch can reunite her with her lost parents. Awakening the witch, however, brings more than salvation from mourning, for Honoria discovers a past of missing children and broken promises.

To save the citizens of Arnn from becoming the witch’s next victims, she must find the truth behind the woman’s madness.

How deep into Witchwood Hollow does Honoria dare venture?

Jordan Elizabeth, formally Jordan Elizabeth Mierek, can’t get enough of the woods, be it splashing through a stream, sitting beneath an ancient oak, or following a path up a hill.  Some of those adventures have led to abandoned foundations.  Exploring the rocks and crumbling bricks sparked Jordan to imagine who might have lived there before, and that train of thought carried her to a wicked legend and an enchanted hollow.  You can contact Jordan via her website, JordanElizabethMierek.com.
