Here is a list of local free-to-the-public writing related events that are free and open to one and all in May 2015. All events take place at the Whitesboro (Dunham) Library unless otherwise noted. May 2 - Local author Lorna MacDonald Czarnota will be at the Oneida County Historical Society at 1pm discussing her book Native American and Pioneer Sites of Upstate NY
May 9 - Poetry Plus Poetry group meeting at 10:30 AM - facilitated by Lorraine Kreimeyer.
May 14 - Plotters Ink Fiction Writing Group - 2 PM - This month's topic is Historical or Biographical Fiction. Facilitated by Carol Alexander, your blog editor.

May 18- Book signing Slow Ride by Kat Morrisey, 5-7 PM.
May 18 - 7 PM - "Mr Black" will prsent a free lecture, photo display, and book signing at BABE'S Macaroni Grill and bar, 80 Genesee Street, The presentation will include his research on ancient earth civilizations and the recent discovery of an ancient civilization on Mars destroyed 180 million years ago.
May 21 - Writers group social dinner outing at Piggy Pat's in Washington Mills, 6 PM. This event is open to anyone whose writing has been published on at least one of our blogs. Please notify Carol if you will be attending, or if you need more information, carpools, etc., The reservation is in the name "Whitesboro Writers". May 26 - NOTE, due to Monday being Memorial Day, we will hold this month's meeting of The Dunham Public Library Writers Group on Tuesday the 26th at 6 PM. The topic is "The Secret" and the meeting will be facilitated by Janice Cardin.
May 27 - Utica Writers Club monthly meeting at Kirkland Library in Clinton, Facilitated by Jordan Mierek, ....note time change: 7 - 8:45 PM this month!
NEW - May 28 - 2 PM - First of several Informal Writing Workshops to help us spiff up our writing. This time we will work on the difference between "showing" and "telling" in our stories.
