October 2016 Assignment for Plotters Ink

NEXT SESSION: Thursday October 13th  1-3 PM in the library- upstairs meeting room.

NEWS: If you have opted to further develop an "ONGOING CHARACTER", you have three more sessions to reveal as much as you'd like about him or her during the group meetings, which take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month. During these sessions, you will receive feedback from the other members with respect to how your characters are perceived, suggestions for improvement, and so on.

At the end of the year, there will be a NEW BLOG dedicated to those multi-chapter character-driven stories. You'll have the opportunity to change your character and plot in any way you like. You will be able to revise, expand, and add photos. Even better,  you'll be able to add chapters to keep the character "alive" as long as you wish! Who knows, there might be yet another ebook featuring these in the future...

It's not too late to begin this process if you haven't done so already. Three months is plenty of time to invent or revive a favorite character that you'd like to portray.

For those of you who prefer to continue flexing your creative muscles with the "flavor of the month" - October is the time to depict either the LOVER or the HATER aspect of personality. In previous months, it was often necessary to depict both opposites, by contrasting, or playing one type off another. This month it should be easier to delineate one or the other attribute. We sure have enough examples of "hater" to choose from lately...

Whatever you decide to do, please bring enough copies of your story so that the rest of us can read along with you. Ten copies should suffice. Those of you who wish to publish your stories on our Plotters Ink blog may submit them via email to whitesborowriters@gmail.com at any time.

See you then, if not sooner!
