Meet Lou Poccia

Lou as "Mr. Black"
August 2014

If you frequent the Whitesboro Dunham Library, you've probably seen him there. He's tapping away at his laptop computer, replying to fan mail across the globe, or deeply engrossed in researching for the new book he's writing. There's nothing unusual about finding writers in a library. Indeed, it makes good sense. How can a writer fail to be inspired with so much incontrovertible evidence that this is where one's published books can be found,  if he's lucky, and persistent.

Go ahead and say hello if you see him there. He likes to meet and chat with people.  He's a friendly, approachable guy, one whose eyes light up when they fasten upon yours. He will converse with you on any number of subjects, most animatedly about his expertise in ancient civilizations.

Lou earned his MA from SUNY at Plattsburgh.  His professional projects include: "Public Speaking: A quick, easy, and fast course for professionals"  ; a high school science lab manual he wrote in graduate school called "Model Rocket Experiments for Secondary Physics"; and a business training manual called "The Professional Seminar and Workshop".

His popular non fiction work includes X-history (he and his brother Mario co-authored a movie script based on that book), a 76 page book by "Mr. Black" about the mysteries of World War II, the origin of UFOs, and the Roswell Crash. In 2010, Lou presented a "Mr. Black" lecture series at MVCC, based on his X-history book.

He is currently  working on a book dealing with ancient mysteries including the pyramids, the Mayans, Easter Island, and much more.

As part of the research for his book, Lou has been publishing some of his findings in a blog. If you're interested in his work, he invites you to read about it in more detail. Just follow this link, and see what this  representative of  local talent has to offer. http://black2tell.wordpress.com/
