Plotters Ink Assignment for June 2016

Sorry to be late getting this posted! May totally enveloped CJ in garden frenzy.

For June 9, the pair of opposite "types" or character traits we will explore are MANIPULATOR and DOORMAT.

A manipulator uses  emotional weapons such as guilt, insincere compliments, threats and other ploys to make people do what they want them to do.

On the other side of the coin, the manipulated one, commonly called a doormat, allows people to walk all over him or her. Doormats don't stick up for themselves, allow their time to be usurped to do others' bidding, and their right to respect and autonomy is all too often negated.

If you wish to portray one of these types, by all means do so.

If you would prefer to continue developing a character you have already written about, feel free to do that instead. The character MUST be one you created at any time since Plotters Ink inception - going back 3 years!  If you choose this option, be sure to make it a stand alone story, which means people do NOT need to read your earlier story about this character to understand what the plot is about.

Please limit your story to a single side of  sheet of paper, or around 500 words, and make copies so we can rad along with you when you present your piece to the group.

See you June 9th at 1 PM!
