Open Call for Submissions: WINTER WRITES- MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Many thanks to everyone who submitted a story or poem to this book, now available on Amazon as of January 16. If you would like to purchase a copy or give one as a gift, here's where you can find it: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01APYY9U2

The remainder of this message was posted before we published:

In our second e-book anthology, which we will publish on Amazon Kindle in 2016, we will explore as many of winter’s aspects – the good, the bad and everything in between – as you can dream up. The edgier and more original, the better.

This anthology will consist of FIVE thematic sections. The official names of these sections are yet to be determined and may emerge as a result of your submissions. But for now, let’s describe them this way:

Section 1 - Preparations (anticipation, dread, plans, excitement, flight)

Section 2 - Surrender (darkness, bad weather, inconvenience, enchantment, sports)

Section 3 - Celebrations (Solstice, Hanuka, Christmas, Kwaanza, New Year, Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, Sadie Hawkins Day, etc... consider also: entertaining, gifts, vacations, family)

Section 4 - Doldrums (depression, messes, cleanups, bills, cabin fever, sickness)

Section 5 - Release (remnants, snow melt, aftermath, light returns, hope)

Need we add: et cetera?

--Each story or poem must be a MINIMUM of 50 words in length to a MAXIMUM of 500. No exceptions. (Note: title & byline are excluded from word count.) You can vary the story lengths in any way you please, as long as there are between 50 and 500 words in each piece.
