Words of Encouragement

Hello Writers,

Source- google images
Maybe you've been staring at that blank page on your computer screen wondering what to write about, trying to decide if you even want to be involved in a writers' group at all. Maybe you are shy, or you believe you don't write well enough to have your work on display for all to see and comment upon. Or, maybe you are a really great writer and believe publishing your masterpieces on a simple down home venue like this is a waste of your time.

Just for a moment, please put all those doubts and beliefs aside, and listen to what I believe.

I believe everyone has something to write about. Some of us may be better at storytelling than syntax and spelling. Some of us are better at spotting mistakes others make than coming up with an original  idea. We all have different skills, but skills can be developed. All of us writers had to start somewhere but we will never ever end up in the same place, with the same story,  because our unique voices will always prevail.

I have noticed time and again that when writers of all ages, styles and skill sets come together, we inspire achievements in each other in ways we could not anticipate. I believe this is exciting and I believe we all gain from the experience. I hope in time that you will believe so, too.
