The unofficial start to our all-too-brief summer season is upon us, and writing is probably the last thing on your mind. But just in case you're surfing the web in between more compelling activities, let me say I'm glad you dropped by.

The title of this post does not contain a typo. What's UP with that, then? During our PLOTTERS INK organizational meeting on May 15th, Judy Jerome asked about "IP" and I got to thinking maybe not everyone knew what that was. So here you go: IP stands for "Intellectual Property".
On all of our WhitesboroWriting Blogs, your stories, poems and all other written materials will always belong to YOU and nobody else. In other words, you hold the copyright to your own work. We publish your writings here, but only with your permission....you will see a disclaimer at the bottom of each page that states: "Printed by permission of the authors." (Excluding this information-only blog which is not a creative writing forum.) Have a look at Plotters Ink or the Poetry blog - it's there.
And as our savvy librarians pointed out, when we use the images we find on the internet in our blogs, we must cite their source or risk copyright infringement. Not a good thing, unless you want to write your next masterpiece from a jail cell....:)

See you on May 27th 6 PM for "Road Rage" (Dunham Public Library Writers group) and on June 12th at 2PM for "Winning" (Plotters Ink group). Have a great holiday!
